Once upon a time there was an umbrella. It hung from its cord, lost and forgotten on the coat rack.
It was raining heavily when Carol spotted the umbrella. "Perfect!" she thought. Picking it up she stood in the doorway, contemplating which building to visit next..
Should Carol walk over to the [[C block]] or [[K block]] building?
The security system had failed and the doors wouldn't unlock. Shut out of C block Carol was relieved that she'd brought the abandoned brolly along with her "Someone's getting soggy, thank goodness it's not me". What should Carol do next?
[[Return to her office]], [[continue to K block]] or [[shout out for help]].
As Carol crossed the path, a strong southerly caught the umbrella and whipped it inside out. Rain poured down on Carol's head. "No wonder someone dumped this brolly, it's hopeless in the wind". Passing through the entrance, she dropped the twisted carcass of the umbrella into the bin. It sat there drip, drip, dripping, its travels at an end.
Umbrella held aloft, Carol returned to her office. The brolly had a new home now, tucked away under Carol's desk. It was no longer abandoned.

Not trusting the brolly, and wanting to avoid a soaking, Carol banged her fist against the glass doors, hoping to attract the attention of someone inside. Does anyone come to Carol's aid?
[[Yes]], [[no]], [[the spirit of the brolly]].
Jane's passing along the corridor and hears the commotion. Unable to open the door to let Carol come in, she calls maintenance to come out and fix the door lock.
The doors are shielded from the main office where people put on headphones to create some quiet space. They don't see or hear Carol banging on the doors. She's stuck outside in the rain.
While banging on the door, Carol's other hand nudges a hidden switch on the handle of the umbrella. Pop! The umbrella's brim swings out, doubling in size. Carol can now stand under the brim, protected from the rain all the way down to her ankles. A translucent patch has appeared at eye level, and Carol can safely walk back to her office, not a drop of rain falling on her. What a brolly!
